Filmed at Utopia Hall in Utopia, Ontario, Apryll Aileen performs her favorite Sir Elton John song, “Tiny Dancer”. With just a piano and a microphone, Aileen is in her element.

The song was released in 1971 on Elton’s “Madman Across the Water” album and was written by both Elton John and his legendary co-writer, Bernie Taupin.

“Every time I hear “Tiny Dancer”, I think of the film “Almost Famous”, which has left an imprint on my mind forever. As one of the soundtrack songs, it makes me feel alive and free. It reminds me of the spontaneous ups and downs of what life is like in the Rock ‘n Roll scene.

Spending a lot of time in Los Angeles, I see a million other people out there, all pursuing their hopes and dreams. And for what? At the end of the day, I think most of us just want to be held close and comforted. I think Elton and Bernie captured a beautiful emotion and visual in this song.”

“Almost Famous” was a feature film released in 2000 about the early life of Cameron Crowe on the road, as a writer for Rolling Stones, touring with Poco, The Allman Brothers Band, Led Zeppelin, Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd. This music video is Directed and Filmed by Phil Kluba, of Toronto’s Press It.
