I’ve got a new live VIDEO to share with you of my performance in West Hollywood with two new bandmates. Check it out below & let me know what you think – it’s a triple mashup!
So who’s in the video with me?
During a show at The Baked Potato (one of the oldest jazz clubs in Hollywood), I had the chance to sing alongside the likes of Ben Thomas (Zappa Plays Zappa), Caleb Johnson (American Idol Winner) & several others.
Of all the great people I met that night, one of them turned out to be a super talented musician from Ottawa, Canada. He had also left his hometown a week after I left my home in New Brunswick, to embark on the crazy cross country drive to Los Angeles, California.
Turns out he drums and also is the lead singer of a band called Cast in Cadence.
We actually just met again in Ottawa this past Wednesday & did free yoga on Parliament Hill with hundreds, possibly thousands of other Canadians – it was incredible!
During my travels in Los Angeles, I was introduced to Hunter Cohen – a humble, incredibly talented guitar player from Wisconsin.
That upcoming Monday, I was a drummer short for a cool trio performance in West Hollywood at the iconic Bar Lubitsch. After an hour of rehearsal & finding out that we had a mutual friend from the East Coast, Ryan met Hunter Cohen (guitarist) & I at the venue and we played an awesome set!
Here’s a fun video to share the vibe of that evening with you.
This video is a live mashup of CCR’S “Bad Moon Rising”, with The Weeknd’s “The Hills” single & Drake’s “Hotline Bling” (both major Canadian artists).
Be sure to check out the new “Savannah Soul” album on iTunes, Google Play and/or Spotify!
On Thursday, June 23rd, I will be playing a special concert at the Sanctuary Theatre in Saint John, New Brunswick with a trio – more details to be announced in the coming weeks.
