Empowering Women Through Song – Presented by Investors Group
23 December, 2015
SAINT JOHN, New Brunswick – Soulful singer songwriter, Apryll Aileen has partnered with Investors Group to offer her musical talents this season to empower women in the greater Saint John community. On Tuesday evening, December 29th, Aileen will perform and share empowerment through song, at the Gentle Path Counselling “Women of Worth” workshop. The workshops take place weekly at the Sophia House (83 Hazen Street) from 7:00pm – 8:30pm.
Regional Director of Investors Group Peter O’Neill states, “This is a great hands on way to inspire members of our community through song and art. We are happy to support individuals in our community who want to help make a difference.”
The partnership came to fruition through Aileen’s preorder campaign for her debut album “Savannah Soul” available at www.musicalgypsy.ca.
Aileen adds, “The first single “Hey Sugar” was written for one of my best friends who was stuck in a toxic relationship. The song inspired her to get out of that situation and believe in her self worth and inner beauty. This is a great opportunity to encourage women from my hometown, to leave unhealthy relationships. I’ve seen first hand the great work that Gentle Path Counselling does for our community and I’m excited that Investors Group has partnered to make this possible.”
Gentle Path provides quality counselling & support group services for individuals, families & children, regardless of financial means.
The community giveback doesn’t end with people. Once her financial goal is reached, Aileen plans to donate 10% of all funds to the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue. Aileen is hopeful other businesses will want to partner in a similar fashion.
